Grade 5: £26,341 - £31,406 per annum, with a discretionary range up to £34,304 per annum

LCDS is a multi-departmental research centre, funded by the Leverhulme Trust and Nuffield College. Launched in October 2019 for an initial period of 10 years, the Centre is highly interdisciplinary, with the aim to disrupt and realign conventional thinking and infuse science into demography. You will take responsibility for managing the diary of the Director, Centre Manager and Senior LCDS staff, arranging meetings and facilitating complex travel arrangements both within the UK and internationally. You will also act as the first point of contact for the Centre, dealing effectively with email, telephone and other correspondence, diverting to the appropriate member of staff as needed. You will maintain and improve record keeping and filing systems, and develop successful working relationships with academic and support staff colleagues across the Centre, Department of Sociology, and the wider University and affiliated departments. The successful postholder should have experience with diary management and drafting professional correspondence; they should also have excellent IT skills including use of Microsoft Office software, experience of working on confidential matters, and the ability to prioritise a varied and busy workload.
The post is full-time for 3 years in the first instance, with possible extension depending on the future requirements of the Centre.
