Applications are invited for the position of Career Development Fellow in Marketing and Consumer Demography, based at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Reporting to Professor Andrew Stephen, Saïd Business School and Professor Melinda Mills, Department of Sociology, the Career Development Fellow will execute a research agenda in topics related to marketing and consumer behaviour with a focus on the emerging field of consumer demography.

Under the direction of Professor Andrew Stephen and Professor Melinda Mills, the successful candidate will produce independent academic research aimed at top peer-reviewed journals and present research at national and international conferences. The Career Development Fellow will also be involved in work on research projects directly related to the Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science’s research mission and specifically on the topic of consumer demography and will be expected to actively participate in the Centre. The successful candidate will also contribute to teaching development and delivery for programmes at the Saïd Business School.

​The successful candidate will hold, or be close to completion of, either a relevant PhD in marketing, or a closely related field such as (but not limited to) consumer psychology, computer science, or computational social science. The Career Development Fellow will also have experience at designing and producing research that uses large datasets that are analysed using advanced statistical and/or machine learning methods and experience of producing independent research of international quality in a discipline relevant to the area.​
